David R. Pureza grew up in Elizabeth City, North Carolina. David has maintained a thriving real estate practice as well as a civil litigation practice which focused mainly on personal injury and worker’s compensation. He has represented thousands of individuals in claims involving wrongful death, motor vehicle accidents, serious personal injury, premises liability, worker's compensation and defective drugs. While he continues to represent victims of motor vehicle accidents, serious personal injury and worker's compensation, he also handles general civil litigation, including real estate and contract disputes. He also represents clients applying for Social Security Disability benefits and maintains a strong residential and commercial real estate practice.
David is a graduate of East Carolina University, and while at East Carolina he was a member of the Student Government Association, Theta Chi Fraternity (Vice President), Inter-Fraternity Council (Secretary), Greek Hall of Fame, Order of Omega and an Editorial Assistant for the Victorians Institute Journal. He graduated from the University of Mississippi School of Law in 1996. While attending law school at Ole Miss, he was a member of the Mississippi Law Journal where he served as Associate Editor of Mississippi Cases, Moot Court Board, Honor Council, and The Journal of National Security Law.
David is admitted to practice in the state of North Carolina, U.S. Bankruptcy Court, U.S. District Court, Eastern District of North Carolina, and the U.S. Court of Appeals, 4th Circuit.
